AntiFlam has been scientifically developed using Curcumin - the active ingredient of Turmeric with the addition of Boswellic Acids. The Curcumin used in AntiFlam is a 95% extract, and is 25 times more powerful than Turmeric.
AntiFlam also contains piperine from black pepper to increase absorption.
Curcumin Is the active ingredient in Turmeric. Curcumin has well established proven benefits as a nutraceutical in the human market and it is beginning to gain momentum in the equine market too. Curcumin is a plant derived polyphenol which has anti-inflammatory properties, but can also encourage the body to increase the amounts of anti-oxidants it produces.
Research performed in horses, and extrapolation from human studies have suggested a minimum feeding rate of 7g Curcumin per daily serving (equivalent to around 175-230g of turmeric).
Boswellia is an established nutraceutical and contains Boswellic acids and this is the key element to Boswellia. Therefore the higher the Boswellic Acid content the greater potency of this ingredient. Boswellia can be used on its own or in combination with other nutraceuticals. Our Boswellia contains over 90% Boswellic Acids.
