Our turmeric powder is pure, human food grade and tested to British Pharmacopea standard – ie it is quality control tested for pathogenic bacteria, heavy metals, purity, etc and to ensure it has good levels of active ingredients (in this case it would be antioxidants such as curcumin).

Many horse owners are reporting that they see benefits when adding turmeric to their horses feed. Turmeric has been shown to have a number of beneficial properties in humans and mice, etc but no peer reviewed research has been done yet with horses. If you see good effects, that is excellent, but remember to feed in moderation (more is not always better! – turmeric can upset the digestive system if fed in too high an amount) and although it can be a useful spice to use, it is not a miracle cure.
